Ride Vine @ridevine April 26, 2016

Someone has reached out to us with information on the scheduling of Skull Island: Reign of Kong. We had heard rumors of the last week of April, or the fist week of May as possible soft openings. That information came our way as far back as last Wednesday. We waited to report on this until we heard from another source.

We’re happy to say that someone else has reached out to us about the openings happening as soon as this week. A few people have spotted more vehicle testing over the past few days. Don’t be surprised if Universal is aiming for Memorial Day weekend as a Passholder preview date. There’s also the possibility of wider previews happening that weekend as well. Since Universal is still going with “Summer 2016” as the opening for Kong, the official opening will probably happen in June.

Right now we’re still waiting on specifics. We’ll update this article as our sources release information. As with anything theme park related, plans are subject to change. Just because they are on track right now doesn’t mean something can’t come up. Something could happen later in the week to stall the opening. We’ll be sure to let you know if that’s the case.
