Universal is looking to take on the 2017 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival and SeaWorld’s recently announced Seven Seas Food Festival.

Universal has announced that 2017 will bring the biggest Mardi Gras celebration the park has ever seen. The event will take place during the 49 nights between February 4 to March 24, 2017. The parade will also run for 49 nights in a row; a first for the event.

During 12 select nights, Universal says some of the biggest names in music will take the stage for live concerts.

The event offers a Mardi Gras parade, beads galore, and authentic Cajun cuisine in the French Quarter Courtyard.

The announcement was thin on specifics, but we’ll be sure to report on any new developments.

Be sure to check our Mardi Gras 2017 page for new articles on the event.
