The Shark Reef is one of the most unique experiences at\u00a0Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park<\/a>. The Shark Reef is\u00a0closing on\u00a0October 3rd, 2016. We don’t know the exact reason, but it might be related to\u00a0Miss Fortune?<\/em><\/a> Falls.<\/p>\n

The attraction allows guests to swim for 15 minutes with various sea creatures. It’s one of Disney’s many hidden gems, so closing of the attraction could be related to low numbers or something else entirely. Disney describes the Shark Reef as the following:<\/p>\n

Brave bracing 68-degree waters\u2014that\u2019s how the fish like it\u2014and hear only the sound of your own breathing as you get an eyeful of leopard and bonnethead sharks, stingrays and schools of blue tangs.\u00a0An overturned sunken tanker with viewing portholes adds whimsy to the seascape while offering non-swimmers the opportunity to see undersea specimens without getting wet.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
