Today Legoland Florida confirms the permanent closure of Island in the Sky.<\/p>\n

This attraction opened in 1983 when the park was known as Cypress Gardens. The ride operated for 34 years bringing guests 150′ in the air.<\/p>\n

Legoland did not announce the closure so it did come unexpectedly. They did however release a statement regarding the reason for closure.<\/p>\n

“[Legoland looks] forward to developing new and exciting attractions that will entertain Legoland guests for generations to come.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
