This past weekend was the beginning of the Mardi Gras celebration at Universal Studios Florida. The limited time concerts, parades, discounts, and food have also kicked into effect.<\/p>\n

This year introduces something new in the way of experiences and applications. The Mardi Guide app<\/a>\u00a0allows you to collect virtual beads in exchange for freebies. What begins as a quest for virtual beads can end with a free beverage. Be sure to check it out if you are heading out on a Mardi Gras event night.<\/p>\n

For those who live in the Orlando area and are not annual passholders, now is the best time to join. You get 3 free months added to your pass as long as you purchase and activate it by April 16th. Check out the Universal site for details<\/a>.<\/p>\n

<\/a>Of course it wouldn’t be Mardi Gras without the parade, beignets, and\u00a0accompanying adult beverage (Hurricane!). For those who are burnt out on the parade or want a reason to watch, Universal\u00a0added four new floats to the parade to change things up.<\/p>\n
