Disney Springs has been on our radar since March of 2013. Since then Downtown Disney has made its transformation into Disney Springs. We’ve had a smattering of restaurants and new stores appear since then.

The Town Center is one the latest big step towards the Springs’ completion. Today’s opening brings a handful of restaurants and name brand stores to Disney Springs. Not every store that will occupy the Town Center is open today, but many are. The best part is that parking issues that have been a headache during construction are no more. Both parking garages are now operational.

The new area’s theme calls heavily on Spanish revival architecture. The Town Center is so well themed that it is a stark contrast of areas that have yet to get the Disney Springs treatment. The springs themselves look beautiful. The rocks and water area look like a swimming hole you’d find in a magazine.

The stores themselves are each brand’s version of putting it all out there. Stores like Sephora, L’Occitane, and Tommy Bahama are large, organized, and fully staffed. The new area is more than just a mall, it’s a showcase. The best way to summarize it is that it feels like you’re walking through each store’s catalog.

The food options have people going giddy for Disney burgers done right and unique cupcakes. We had the pleasure of dining at one of these places when we stopped by D-Luxe Burger for an early lunch.

A full review of D-Luxe Burger will be coming soon. In the meantime I can tell you that this place does some of the best burgers I’ve ever had. We had the Original Cheeseburger and El Diablo burger, both cooked perfectly. The patties themselves have different ingredients depending on which specialty burger you order.

On top of that, the burgers are huge and the fries are unique as well. The potatoes are soaked overnight in vinegar and then sliced and fried the next day. It all adds up to a delicious quick-service experience. It’s also quite a departure from the standard Disney burger offerings.

All together, the Town Center is unique in that it feels like a place with history and things just feel right. I’m excited to see the next phase of stores and see how things go moving forward. It’s for sure some place to visit on your next trip to Walt Disney World.
