This Memorial Day weekend Disney has many new experiences lined up for guests. Whether you’re an animal fan, Frozen fan, or are a Star Wars fan, there’s something new for you. Let’s round up today’s announcements and get all that’s new organized in one place.
Friday, May 27th
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom will begin showing The Tree of Life Awakens.
- Animal Kingdom will also be host to two new parties. Harambe Wildlife Parti and Discovery Island Carnivale.
- Kilimanjaro Safaris will begin its nighttime operations. New lighting and animals will be featured during your safari tour.
- Tiffins, the new signature dining location will also be open. Reservations for Tiffins open tomorrow, May 21st.
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park
- The Frozen Games kick off into full swing. Olaf and Kristoff hosting daily winter-themed activities for guests of all ages, including Snowball Toss and Ski Pole Limbo. All activities are complimentary and guests can sign up at the park entrance to participate.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Toy Story: Midway Mania opens its third track. Wait times should be shorter moving forward.
Saturday, May 28th
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Animal Kingdom will begin showing The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic. This nighttime show takes place at the newly constructed theater on the Discovery River.
Friday, June 17th
Magic Kingdom
- Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire begins at Cinderella’s Castle.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular will begin nightly showings.
Epcot
- Soarin’ Around the World replaces the regular Soarin’.
Tuesday, June 21st
Epcot
- Frozen Ever After opens after replacing Maelstrom.
- Royal Sommerhus, an Anna and Elsa greeting area. Opens at Norway inside the World Showcase.
