June 28, 2017Over the past week, rumors have been flying on social media of a certain rat based attraction to be coming to Epcot’s France pavilion. Permits have been filed, assumptions have been made, but we’re still left in the dark on what’s to come.
D23, Disney’s official fan convention will most likely bring us some official news for enhancements at Epcot. The future of the Imagination, Wonders of Live, and France pavilions are all expected to be touched on at some point in the future.
At the last Destination-D event Bob Chapek, the Chairman of Disney Parks and Resorts announced a huge overhaul would be on the way to Epcot. Disney’s California Adventure received similar attention and turned itself around after a few dismal years.
Chapek has been hinting since then that things are coming beyond Toy Story Land and Star Wars Land. Last month Chapek also stated that fans of the parks are going to be excited by what is announced at D23.
With permits just filed within the France pavilion, it’s hard not to expect a Ratatouille dark ride. The ride has been successful in Disneyland Paris and Epcot is in need of more attractions to pull away from festival crowds during peak times.
