May 12, 2016With the opening of the Town Center on the horizon at Disney Springs, there sure is a lot of buzz surrounding it. Sunday, May 15th will be the grand opening for a long list of stores.
The Landing and a a few other areas have received some additions over the past few days. With the construction walls down and our trusty camera in hand, let’s see what’s new.
In the land of construction we have Paddlefish which was once the Fultons Crab House. The new design updates the exterior of the boat to give it a classier look and feel. It’s still a riverboat, but now it’s a nice riverboat.
In the same area we have a new fountain called Waterworks. It’s adorned in birds and horses and is a great place to rest.
Right next to the fountain we have a few kiosks that have popped up. I’ve seen trucks for the Savannah Bee Company on property over the past few weeks. Looks like the owners are enjoying the Walt Disney World lifestyle.
Savannah Bee Company features specialty honey and body care products. Lip balm, body wash, and body butters are some of the products you can expect out of their kiosk.
Morimoto Asia will be opening their outdoor Quick-Service location once again. The Asian Street Food window will feature a selection of quick and delicious offerings from Morimoto Asia. There was a short preview of the offerings earlier in the year to test out various menu options. Looks like it’s staying open for good once the 15th of May rolls around.
Outside of The Landing, Disney has removed the construction walls surrounding The Marketplace. This area of Disney Springs offers upscale shopping and beautiful views of the springs.
