October 14, 2016This year Disney will be trying to make new memories with a holiday fireworks show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Gone are the Osborne Lights and with really no place to put them they are left to create something new.
The fireworks and projection show will be on and around the Chinese Theater at DHS. Guests can also take part in a Fireworks Dessert Party. The party includes reserved viewing, desserts, specialty beverages, and a pair of “3-D” glasses that make points of light look like holiday figures.
Disney plans to run the show November 14th through December 31st. The description includes some of the characters that you’ll see throughout the show.
Led by elves Wayne and Lanny, the duo from ABC/Walt Disney Animation Studios’ animated special “Prep & Landing,” the spirited yuletide adventure to the North Pole features memorable holiday moments from Disney films including “Mickey’s Christmas Carol,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “Pluto’s Christmas Tree,” “Bambi,” Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and more, all building to a festive finale that’s “So tinsel!”
It’s an interesting choice to use Prep & Landing’s characters. For many guests it might be their first time seeing the characters in action. We’ll see how the show goes when it debuts on November 14th, 2016.
