February 7, 2018Today along with the release of Alien Swirling Saucers concept art, Disney confirmed that the Disney’s Hollywood Studios name is here to stay.
The official statement from Disney:
In response to questions we have been receiving, we also want to let fans know that the Disney’s Hollywood Studios name will remain the same for the foreseeable future since we are immersing our guests in a place where imagined worlds of Hollywood unfold around them from movies and music, to television and theater.
Rumors of the name change to Disney Cinemagine Park have taken the internet by storm over the past few days. It looks like Disney has decided to squelch the discussion on a name change, but interestingly they include the “foreseeable future” line which doesn’t mean much in the world of theme parks.
The name change was expected to take place before the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge next year at the park.
